Hailing from Iowa, James was first introduced to 'fine' woodworking
while building boyscout pinewood derby cars with his dad. His
woodworking career was alomost cut short by the tragedy of his prized
gun cabinet being converted into a china cabinet, but he bounced back;
and today he enjoys making furniture emphasizing function, beauty,
durability and his own style of angular shapes.
